With Industries adopting and evolving to use more Artificial Engineering and Machine Learning in improving products, services, and enabling better evaluation to enhance decision making, the future truly lies in this field.

Any distraction results in business loss and bad reputation, often accompanied by an onslaught on social media. The CSD course contains two themes that address these two aspects, i.e., User Interface (UI) design and User Experience (UX) design.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is established in the year 1999. The current intake of UG program is 120. The main focus of the department is to produce graduates and post graduates with the expertise in Computer Science and Engineering domain. The outcome based education to helps students to achieve this goal. The college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1999 offering UG, PG and Ph.D under the affiliation of VTU, Belagavi. The course is structured with an outcome based education to help students to excel in academics and to achieve their goals. The department is accredited by NAAC and IEI.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one among the senior and old branches in the institution with many prides to its feather. A facility of repute, excellent faculty and a good student community has contributed to make the Department vibrant and striving hard to achieve excellence in the area of academics and research.

Computer Science & Engineering Research and Development Center is established in the year 2014-15. The Management of the institution has supported financially to start the research activities. R & D is established to motivate Faculty and students to participate in various technical events such as conferences, technical quizzes and workshops to enhance their technical and soft skills. The CSE Department R & D center has 1 Doctorate guiding students towards Ph.D. in various areas. There are 03 research scholars pursuing their research in this center. We have dedicated R & D LAB, IEEE Access and Library facilities for all research scholars and research students. R & D Center has well qualified and experienced team of faculties and students involved in various research activities. The knowledge is shared and transfered to the industry through teaching, paper publications, collaboration, entrepreneurship, etc. By integrating engineering disciplines into one R&D department, we can address major challenges and develop complete solutions, serving as an international hub for engineering excellence. Faculty and students are involved in research activities and setup CLOUD in the R&D centre.

Research and development is the first stage for the overall development of any organization. Basically R & D work is carried out without any expectations of making profit, instead directed towards achieving awards, recognitions, patents, copy rights, etc. KSIT Mechanical Engineering R & D centre is equipped with highly qualified and experienced supervisors with the computing and testing facilities for the research scholars to carry out their research.

Research and Development Centre of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of KSIT was started in the year of 2014-15 and is encouraging PhD research scholars & students to carryout research and development in the specialized areas like Image processing, Communication Neural networks etc. The Centre is affiliated to VTU. Presently, the Centre has five research guides with 20 research scholars pursuing PhD under these guides. The Centre is well equipped with software and hardware tools required to carry out research and development.
Faculty members of the department are collaborating with organizations like Tata elxsi, Mitara consulting services, Acsia Technologies (P) Ltd., and many more for consultancy works. The research and consultancy projects worth Rs. 30.75 Lakhs are either completed or ongoing.
The research projects worth Rs. 8.8 Lakhs are either completed or ongoing. Some of these are funded by Government of Karnataka, Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) and Institution of Engineers IE(I).
The faculty of the ECE department is actively engaged in research in the areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Signal Processing, Cryptography, Machine Learning and VLSI Technologies. A total of 188 research articles were published and presented by the faculty in various technical journals and conferences in the past 3 years, with more than 750 citations.
